How the Tohkyn Process Works
Ordering Your Tohkyn Is Easy
The process of ordering your custom Tohkyn is very easy and can be done on any device. Here are the steps to take.
Select Your Item in the Shop
You can get to the Shop Here, or by visiting the All Products link the upper menu bar.
Next, select the item that you want your voice print engraved on and add it to the cart.
Prepare Your Sound File
To do this, you can record your voice in a number of ways. On a PC you can use the voice memo or voice recorder function.
On a Mobile Phone, you can simply open Voice Memo, then record your voice sample and say what you wish (no more than 10 seconds please, less is more!). Then save the recording as a file.
Upload Your Sound File
Now you go back to the cart and select the item there. You will see an upload box like this:
On a PC, you can just drag and drop your file into that box. Or you can follow the same steps as a mobile device by tapping on the box, then navigating to where your file is stored, then select it.
Payment
At this time, you will checkout in the store and remit your payment. Due to the custom nature of these items, refunds will not be issued on items that have already been engraved.
What Happens Next?
After we receive your order, we will download the filed and convert it to a waveform image. We will then adjust and scale the item to best fit your selection of jewelry or other items.
Next, we get to work! We will engrave your item with your sound print and ensure that it engraves and looks great! This usually begins within a day or two, unless we special order an item to be engraved. In the event of special order items, we will begin to process the engraving as soon as it arrives at our facility.
Shipping
Once complete, we will ship your item, usually within 48 business hours (although sometimes we are just so excited to get it to you, it may go out faster). You will be notified of shipping and given an approximate delivery date.
What's In The Box?
Your item will arrive at it’s destination. Inside the box will be a printed QR code. Let your recipient know that if they scan the QR code, they will be taken to a page that has the audio file and will play it for them. This way they can hear the message that you recorded and engraved onto their item.
